O-Run Florence is a Level 1 Course! It is a challenging course with obstacles of varying degrees of difficulty. The terrain will be rough and uneven but not treacherous. A Level 1 course is far from easy but a good place to start if you’re new to team obstacle racing or a great place to hone your skills if you’re an experienced team.
O-Run Florence is a 4-mile all out sprint to the finish over rough terrain filled with serious obstacles and crazy strength challenges. Our obstacles are big solid permanent obstacles, not rinky dink walls, mud holes and fire logs. The 4-mile course has a variety of obstacles and challenges. Some of which include:
Giant Hay Bales – 4 ft to 5 ft bales of hay each team must climb over

Chute Crawls – 3 1/2 ft chutes that each team must crawl under,
approximately 20 yards in length
10 Foot Wall – 10 ft wall each team must scale without a rope

Over and Unders – Logs of varying heights that must be crossed over and
under in alternate fashion

Farmers Walk – Each team member must carry a 5-gallon jug in each hand
one full loop, approximately 100 yards
Log Climb – A-Framed shaped obstacle that each team must ascend the
inclined side and descend the declined side

Balance Crossings – Configured logs each team must cross without
stepping off to continue the course
Tire Flips – Each team must flip a tire end over end for approximately
30 yards

Stairway to Heaven Ladder Climbs – Wooden ladder rungs mounted
between trees 8 to 15 ft high. Each team must ascend, crossover,
and descend the other side
Log Hauls – Each team must haul (cannot drag) one log across the finish
line, approximately 70 yards. Light logs for all female teams, heavier logs for co-ed teams, and heaviest logs for all male teams.

There is no intentional water or mud on the course. However, you may get dirty, and depending on the weather you may get wet and muddy.
